PHILADELPHIA — PEOPLE’S UNEMPLOYMENT LINE

On June 22, hundreds of people showed up in Philadelphia to demand Pennslyvania enact One Fair Wage with tips on top for service workers. And funds for the One Fair Wage Emergency Fund were distributed, including to many service workers who, because of the sub-minimum wage for tipped workers, don’t even “earn” enough to qualify for state unemployment benefits.
